Dental microprosthetics is an important area of dental practice, as it allows restoring both the aesthetic appearance and functionality of teeth.
ADHESIVE PROSTHESIS is an innovative approach to restoring the dentition that provides patients with aesthetically pleasing, durable and long-lasting solutions without the need for extensive tissue treatments of the abutment teeth. Here are some of the key advantages of this method:
- Minimally invasive: it involves minimal preparation of the abutment teeth, which reduces the risk of damage to healthy tissues.
- Aesthetics: Thanks to the use of modern materials, such as fibreglass reinforcing bands, a high degree of aesthetics can be achieved, allowing patients to feel comfortable with their prosthesis.
- Durability and longevity: modern materials and technologies allow us to create a prosthesis that is strong enough to last for a long time without significant damage.
- Speed and ease of manufacture: compared to other methods of replacing missing teeth, an adhesive denture can be made in one visit to the dentist, which saves the patient time and simplifies the treatment process.
- Variability of application: adhesive bridges can be used as temporary or permanent restorations depending on the patient's needs.
In general, an adhesive prosthesis is an attractive option for those patients who are looking for an effective, aesthetic and minimally invasive method of restoring the dentition.
It is often the case that a single tooth is missing. Neighbouring teeth have fillings only on the contact surfaces with the preserved pulp (nerve) and in order not to cover them with crowns, we propose to restore the defect in the dentition with an adhesive bridge. The technique is as follows: grooves are prepared in the fillings on the teeth that limit the defect, where the glass fibre is fixed, on which the missing tooth is modelled with photocomposite material. The time to complete this work is 1.5-2 hours.
VENEERS are one of the most modern and effective methods of correcting dental defects. They allow you to correct not only the shape but also the colour of your teeth, giving your smile a more aesthetic appearance. The veneer placement procedure includes several stages:
- Diagnosis: the doctor conducts an examination and consultation, determines the treatment plan and the cost of the procedure. Professional teeth cleaning and treatment may also be prescribed, if necessary.
- Preparation: the tooth on which the veneer will be placed is ground to give the onlay a secure fit. The thickness of the enamel layer to be removed is usually 0.3-0.7 mm.
- Manufacturing: veneers are made in the laboratory based on the impression. This process usually takes about 7 days.
- Delivery of the work: the veneer is fixed with a special glue. Then polishing is carried out, excess glue is removed and the bite is assessed.
The service life of veneers is very long with proper care. The main care tips include: regular visits to the hygienist, avoiding mechanical damage and using mild toothpastes.
Thus, veneers are not only an aesthetic, but also a functional and long-lasting alternative for correcting dental defects and achieving a beautiful smile.
